Forty Days of Equipping the Saints in Jewish Evangelism:
During the next forty days there will be one video here each day designed to inspire, empower, and by the grace of God, equip you to fulfill the word of God and become a doer of that word and bring the gospel, the power of God for salvation, to the Jewish people.
Paul declared the gospel is the power of God for all who believe to the Jew first and then to the gentile. (Romans 1:16)
The biblical priority of bringing the good news of salvation first to the Jew has been all but lost to the Body of Messiah for centuries.
God’s plan for the salvation of the world is a detailed, brilliant, strategy.
A key to this strategy is bringing salvation back to those who first brought it to the ends of the earth.
Since salvation, is from the Jews (John 4:22), the Jews must have salvation before they can impart it to others. It is what happened in the first century and it is what must happen now!
Did you know, the call of the Jewish people is parallel to the call of the Messiah!
Both the Messiah and his people, Israel are lights to the nations.
This is why bringing the light back to Israel is crucial.
Yeshua (Jesus) after he was circumcised; it was prophesied that He would be a light to the gentiles.
Here are the words of Simeon, who was told by God he would not die until he saw the Messiah:
“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word. For my eyes have seen Your salvation. Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” (Luke 2:29-32)
Paul and Barnabas boldly spoke to the leaders of the Jews and declared,
“For so the Lord commanded us, saying, “I have set you to be a light for the gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 13:47)
Yeshua and his people, the Jews, both have an identical calling; to be a light to the gentiles!
Yeshua (Jesus) said, “You are the light of the world.”
Now as a follower of the Messiah, the light of Messiah is in you!
The time has come for that light, to go full circle, and shine back upon the Jewish people, the very ones who brought that light to the world and thereby to you!
THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS
Today is traditionally called Rosh Hashanah (the head of the year) and as Jewish people greet each other today they will wish them a happy and a sweet new year.
However today is not really the Jewish New Year but rather the first day of the 7th month of the biblical God-ordained lunar calendar! Today is the holy day of the Blowing of Trumpets!
“Say to the people of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.
(Leviticus 23:24)
The Hebrew word for blast here is no ordinary sound. It is a word that has “spirit” as its root, and refers to “a shout”.
The word trumpet in Hebrew can also refer to a battle cry!
Recall that when Israel marched around Jericho seven times and the walls collapsed at the sound of trumpets and the shout!
So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people raised a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. (Joshua 6:20)
The words that come out of our mouths are powerful! And all people especially my people the Jews have a huge fortified wall surrounding their hearts concerning the gospel!
The Lord has given you the power and you are being equipped to cause that wall to collapse! This is why it is so appropriate for us to begin these 40 days today on Feast of Trumpets! May the sound of your words going forward be full of power and sharper than a two-edged sword!
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
(Hebrews 4:12)
Is there anything more exciting or more powerful?
“O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57)
